15th May 2011 – Make this International Day for Families count
By Allan Halsall
Though many of us with families often take each other for granted, with hectic schedules and busy lives it is sometimes difficult to make time for all the family, and to do something together. But why not make a stand on this International Day for Families and go out on a family day out, get together play a sport, get round the table for a board game, or even just have a family meal together if you don’t normally!
If all of this just seems like a bridge too far then why not just get together to plan your next family holiday, and choose something that will allow the whole family to come together to do activities or enjoy new experiences as a family, and stay away from those beach holidays which with no included activity, that encourage everyone to do their own thing.
One tour operators out there for families is ActivityBreaks who offer family friendly active breaks across Europe, with some fantastic packages available such as a lakes and mountains holiday in Slovenia where you can do kayaking, mountain biking, white water rafting and more and it starts at £49pppn with any day arrival you can stay from 1- 14 nights. Another great option they offer is a Bavaria multi activity holiday from £347pp for 7 nights half board with loads of activities included, and only 30 mins from Salzburg.
With many family friendly activity holidays out there at pretty reasonable prices, it shouldn’t be too difficult to find a package to suit all the members of your family, so what are you waiting for, make this International Day for Families count!
