Valentines Day may well be a distant memory, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t show a spontaneous act of Romance, or does it? We all know that this year most people’s belts have had to be tightened and many people are giving up on getting away to the sun this summer, but perhaps this doesn’t have to be the case as there are some short romantic breaks out there which are easy on the wallet and will score you some brownie points with your partner too!

One of the newest short breaks on the market, is unique compared to most European city breaks and has just been announced by ActivityBreaks This package is a 4 night break, travelling along Austria’s Romantic road from Salzburg to Vienna.

ActivityBreaks product development manager Naomi Wilson explains “This is an exciting new short break in Europe that will allow people to take in all the wonderful sights on this truly romantic journey. Surrounded by castles, abbeys, ruins, mountains and lakes you really will be lost for words, and starting from £186pp for a 4 night’s accommodation in 3* hotels on a B&B basis along the road, it really is an affordable getaway.”

Indeed the break does leave you with the feeling you have booked a bargain as it includes accommodation for 4 nights 3* hotel accommodation on a B&B basis, map of the journey, visit to the Hallstaat World Heritage Museum, visit of Kremsmuenster Abbey, guided tour through Bad Ischl and local taxes.

Even with so much included, in between attractions you will find yourself taking your time to visit artisan shops, tasting local delicacies and of course there is an abundance of fantastic photo opportunities to make the most of, so what are you waiting for, why not book your short break along the Austrian Romantic road and see what it holds in store for you…..
